Just another thought.......could this be altitude related ?
No instructions given by ATC to adjust to standard barometric pressure - am I expected to change this at 6000ft (UK Transition) without instruction ?
Would flying below 10,000 due to wrong barometer setting cause this problem ?

ATC does not tell you to change baro setting. You need to check your T/A yourself.

As your flights are all short low altitude ones.....what have you set Centre altitude to in PF2000 ? If it is set to an altitude above your cruise altitude you wont get passed on to Centre, and this could be your problem with "losing" atc contact.

Latest two test flights - both same route - EGCC-WAL-IOM-EGAA.
Set cruise to 12,000ft - Centre Altitude set at 10,000ft.

As usual all OK leaving EGCC airport.
Flying with no weather loaded - standard 1013/29.92 barometric pressure for all flight.
Cruise altitude 12000ft reached early into flight. Now get handed off to Centre frequency.
From there all is dead. No ATC, chatter etc. No response to key presses.

Check of debug files shows TGS de-activated at runway threshold then error codes.
Flight 1 - end of log file:-
21/02/14 15:10:52:150 - You've reached the holding point! TGS Deactivated!
21/02/14 15:10:52:160 - Exiting TGS...

21/02/2014 15:33:48: 950 - Err 53 at Loc: 0

Flight 2 - end of log file:-
23/02/14 15:54:18:680 - You've reached the holding point! TGS Deactivated!
23/02/14 15:54:18:680 - Exiting TGS...

23/02/2014 16:05:09: 380 - E

Getting fed up now.

"Before posting and before the flights I sent you I re-installed and ensured Anti Virus off during install. Files installed to C:/PFE folder.
Tested program before adding extended voice pack and still had same problem."

just a long shot...where have you installed PFE,did you create another folder called PFE and installed into that.

Hi Phil,
just point to to "C" and PFE will create it's own folder,i think creating a folder may cause issues.
Try this and this is upto you, uninstall PFE completely and reinstall just doing the above,i see in your log you have an error 53,so something is amiss with your install.
The other alternative is to remove PFE from within the folder and place it in "C",but then you will need to go into the registry and sort things out there and it could end up messy.

Hello,

i have the same problem and have not any solution.

System: Win7/64bit
Sim:FS2004

Flightplan in PFE (FSC converted FPL, successful compiled from PF2000)

1 LFBO 49900 --> Failure because PF2000 interpreted the altitude 499.00 in the FPL as 49900, you have manually correct this in the FPL before the conversation
2 TOU 1000
3 TOU 2000
4 D335W 2000
5 LACOU 4000 --> PFE Display register overflying TOU and show's: Last WP:TOU Next WP: LACOU --> Overflying LACOU PFE doesn't recognized!
6 CHALA 28000

7 and so on

I think, the conversation process is the problem. If i look for the logfile I see that all Waypoints (i.e. WP or Navaids) except the departure and arrivel airport has changed
to airports. I.e. LACOU (WP 5) has changed to LFON with new coordinates).

Best regards

Detlef

Please email me the debug log files from your PFE\Logs folder and also confirm what you think the problem is... i.e. "lost ATC after takeoff"

Hi,

now PFE run very well on my PC. Following actions solved my problems:

1) In the specification menu from proflight 2000 cruise speed I have changed from Mach to true or ias (solve the problems with “Mach 74 and Mach 0.74”, in future the problems with the cruise level)
2) Compatibility mode for WAPLC32.exe und APLC32.exe (Windows XP, SP3).

Now PFE works well and I like it. Thanks to Dave for his support.
