okeydokey,

Start FS2020 using FSUIPC.
Develop or load a FP using the world map and save it.
Run PF3 as admin and check to ensure FP is ok, then close PF3.
Run FP
Press Enter to fly. Cold and Dark start.
Enable electrical power and open PFD.
Configure PFD as needed should I wish to use the auto pilot.
Run PF3 again and load FP.
PF3 checks flight plan and then I connect to FS.
At this point User Account Control asks if I want run wx.exe. Hit yes and then I get the runtime error. Click OK
On separate monitor PF3 will display Departure frequencies and the ATC command log boxes.
Auto connect thru PF3 to ground and receive instruction to contact Clearance Delivery.
Receive Clearance and instruction to contact Ground for Taxi instructions.
Follow Taxi instruction to Runway with TGS audio and heading knob guidance.
Contact Tower and receive Clearance to Fly.
Further contact with PF3 ATC may include a heading instruction or resume own navigation.
Final contact with ATC is Radar Services terminated Squawk 1200.
No further contact with PF3 is possible.

Note during this time I try to use C/S/T get a beep but no Hotkeys appear.
Nearing my destination, I will tune Approach and use hotkey 9 to report position. Beep but no ATC response.
Debug file is attached. Should we try a deeper level of debugging?
Thanks for staying on this issue.

That's the reason your C/S/T doesn't work. Any chance of a screen shot showing that message please?

Back to Square one I guess.
Here is the runtime error as well as a screen shot of all my runtime files.
Remember I have already uninstalled and reinstalled Windows OS, FS2020 and PF3 without success.

OK, the runtime error has been resolved. Unfortunately, I still have no contact with PF3 after radar services are terminated.

However, After the initial screen showing the departure airport frequencies C/S/T does bring up the hotkey for Ground Services, that didn't happen before.

So frustrating! How about an uninstalled and reinstall of FSUIPC and PFE or go back to an earlier version of PF3?

I haven't checked your latest log but the last log showed you were not tuned to any active facility, which is why you received no response. You're on a VFR Free Flight so you can hit hotkey #1 when near to your destination to auto connect to approach.

As Dave said you are using VFR Free-Flight mode which is fine if that is what you want, but you may find it easier to try your flight in VFR Standard mode so you will be handed from one ATC facility to the next. If you want to try this, on the main PF3 screen select Options #2, then Advanced Options and INI File Tweaks, third column (Misc.) make sure 'No VFR Options Prompt' is UNCHECKED. The next time you load a VFR flight plan, select Standard mode rather than Free Flight. This makes things simpler If you intend to follow your flight plan (or nearly so).

If you want to continue using Free Flight, ignore this and follow Dave's suggestions above.

And Happy Birthday tomorrow ;)

Happy birthday to me !

Thanks to both of you, I completed my first successful PF3 flight in over a month.
Using Dave's suggestion worked with an interesting twist. When I hit hotkey 1, I asked for and received permission to enter Bravo airspace?
My CP did not tune to KTPA (Tampa) approach, so using AirNav.com i entered 118.15 as shown in their list of com frequencies. Nada! OK, so using PF3 displayer
I saw it shown as 128.65. That worked and I had a nice, guided landing. Anyway, I have attached the log which should show what happened.
I will also try using the alternative to Free Flight and see how that works out.
Again, thanks for sticking with me on this.

You won't be able to use frequencies from AirNav. If you are flying in Free-Flight mode, use the PF3 Display utility (as you did) to find the frequency for destination Approach, and make contact in preparation for landing.

In VFR Standard mode you will be handed from one ATC facility to the next, so your CP will manage the frequency changes. The downside is you are expected to follow the flight plan you filed. In Free-Flight mode you can fly anywhere you want on your way to the destination, but you will then need to contact destination Approach when you are ready to land.
