In view of the various "add-on" flight planners available, which would be considered the
best to use in conjunction with PFE ??

Thanks

George

The new version of FSC should be called 8.69 not 9, the new content doesn't warrant the €25 upgrade fee, and they have no extra discount for anyone who only bought FSC8.6 in the last 3 months, i.e. me lol. I then asked them about this and basically in a round about way was told to piss off and stop whining. They also said that 8.6 is no longer supported and no questions posted on their forum about 8.6 will be answered, I'm not even sure if that's legal, so thats £ 35+ down the toilet if 8.6 goes wrong for me and I've only had it for 11 weeks. Support is the most rude and arrogant I have ever come across too, please don't support developers like this the don't deserve it.

By the way my views are my own and have nothing to do with Dave and Oncourse Software..

I have used FSBuild and FSNAV (I think thas the name)

However, I most often just use the FS9 FlightPlanner... Simple to use and it does everything you need for a flight plan... I only fly the USA so that may make a difference..and I use real world charts...

I go the via long route!! Reason being that in the past I have found too many anomalies in the FP programmes that FS9 doesn't like.
I start by using route finder http://rfinder.asalink.net/free/ which also gives me the lat/long of my waypoints which I then programme into my INS. One reason for using this site is that it always has the latest airac cycle. Yes it is a bit laborious to then put it into the fs9 flight planner. And, using the latest airac cycle often means that FS9 doesn't know the facility in which case I use http://hsors.pagesperso-orange.fr/navaids.html to keep my magnetic variation up to date and this programe http://library.avsim.net/search.php?Sea ... &Go=Search to add any missing facilities.
