Flew today from ENZV to ENBR.
FSX Flight plan loaded in PF3, with cruise altitude 12000 ft.
ATC cleared me initially to 6000 then up to 12000 ft. So far so good.
Nearing destination told to descend to 11000 ft. Then no further instructions!
I was waiting for further descent instructions, and didn't realise that I was actually over / passing my destination still at 11000ft.
I swung around and headed back and descended myself gradually to 4000 ft in order to realign with the ILS RWY35. All the time ATC kept telling me to maintain 11000ft, which I obviously ignored.

Is this a bug, or did I not set things up correctly?
I expected ATC to step me down in preparation for my ILS approach.
Is it necessary to always set / adjust altitudes for waypoints especially if a STAR is included in the flightplan?

Thanks,
Stuart

Please ZIP and attach your log files from the PF3\Log folder... without which we have no way of knowing what happened.

Which is why I said please ZIP them. I prefer log files to be kept with the originating post so please attach them as requested

Sorry these are not PF3 files and I very much doubt you found them in the PF3\Logs folder

Opps sorry. Wrong logs. Grey cells aren't what they used to be!
Will have a look later today and see if I can send the correct ones.
Realised these were for Ailvasoft EFB. Doh!!!

Cheers,
Stuart

That's the correct log.

After only a quick glance:
It seems that from the 4th waypoint onwards you missed them by up to 5 NM, which may already cause these problems.
Only when you were 7 NM beyond the last waypoint, PF3 noticed that one and cleared you for the STAR, but by then it was a bit late for proper descent.

There might be other things causing this, but unless you reach the waypoints you will probably have more problems than usual.
You can use PF3_Display to see (in the lower left) if PF3 detected that you have reached the next waypoint.

Thomas,
Thanks for the prompt reply.
Strange since the aircraft was following the flight plan precisely. I was flying the Majestic Q400 Po and if I recall, as it was last Friday, I was heading towards the final waypoint when I requested vectors and was instructed that I was on the flight path.

I'll probably try another flight tomorrow and see how it goes. I'll make sure that I adjust altitudes to reflect the star for arrival and perhaps that will help.

Thanks again,
Stuart
