Whenever I am at a busy airport EGLL for example waiting in a queue at the holding point.
The a/c in front lines up and stops
I am then told to line up
The other a/c is then told to take off
so consequently I have to ignore the ATC request and line up when it is safe!!!!

Don't contact tower until the aircraft in front of you has been cleared for take off.

The PFE ATC automatically asks me to contact tower.
Really all that is necessary in this situation is to code it so that one command is played "before" the other and not after!
Simple? Should be!

What I usually do is switch tower before reaching the runway, so VCP won't ask for the take off clearance. I fly from EGLL all the time I never get the problem since I started doing this. This will happen at runways with more than one entry.

Just as a matter of interest...what settings do you have AI Traffic set at?

I keep mine low around 30 in FS2004 and 20 in FSX,occasionally i get an AI plane stuck on tarmac in front of me,but some of this is down to FS and how it controls the AI traffic.
