Hi Dave

I've been getting back into using PFE with Digital Aviation's PA31T Piper Cheyenne. I started to notice I was receiving incorrect ATIS information (I use Active Sky 6.5) so I did a few tests to try and eliminate the cause. The default FS9 ATIS works fine with the PA31T (with or without Active Sky). Likewise, the PFE ATIS works fine with all my other aircraft models. However, no matter which variation of the PA31T I select, I keep getting wildly incorrect ATIS data from PFE...which even randomly changes each time I select a different Cheyenne variant (despite the same weather conditions). I am assuming there is something within the Cheyenne guages that is causing this problem, but I have no idea where to start or even if the problem can be cured. This is one of my favourite aircraft and I would really like to keep flying it with PFE, so any assistance to sort this out would be greatly appreciated.

Kindest regards

Owen

Hi Owen,
I have absolutely no idea why any aircraft would cause such a problem. Pfe uses fsuipc to gain the atis info so unless the aircraft developers are using some incorrect, reserved, memory locations I really can't see why you have such a problem

I don't know if my memory is getting worse as I get older...
...I just can't remember how it used to be!

Thanks for the quick response Dave.

I have a registered version of FSUIPC (V3.85....I think) and I am reasonably familiar with most of the settings. Are there any particular weather settings in FSUIPC that are aircraft specific that might be contributing to this issue?

All the best

Owen

Not to my knowledge and besides they should only be reading the data

You should definitely update FSUIPC though its very much out of date.
