G'morning,

I guess it is a sign that PF3 runs perfectly flight after flight that I have to admit I'm listening to what ATC and other traffic have to say in more detail.

I have noticed a curious message conveyed with instructions between tower and other aircraft, speaking the word "number" when I would expect a runway number to be given. In the attached example log, this occurred at around 0841 when an incoming aircraft contacted the tower:
A/C: Tower, Aeroflot 1613 at 7 miles for landing
Tower: Continue approach number Aeroflot 1613

On other flights I have also heard this when aircraft preparing to depart are given instructions to proceed to their runway.

Hopefully this is just a fine tweak needed?

Best regards,

John

That should be 'number x for landing'. I guess there's a glitch in the AI com's

Surely that would only apply when landing clearance is given, Dave?

Dave, you are correct - the advice of landing order is indeed when you contact tower.

So in the fresh attached log, at around 1708:
Player A/C: Tower, British 403 at 11 miles to the northeast at 2 thousand 5 hundred landing
Twr: British 403 continue approach you're number 1 for landing
Player A/C: Continue approach number 1 for landing British 403
but then
Another A/C: Tower, Swissair 513 at 9 miles for landing
Twr: Continue approach number Swissair 513

So it seems that (in this example) "2 for landing" is indeed missing.
