Hi there.

PF3 fell silent towards the end of my flight last night: I was told to contact approach when established, as per usual, but the radio frequency did not change, I saw later, and I (therefore, I assume, or was there another problem?) heard nothing more. As I was in Mode 2, the VCP should have been taking care of this (and was doing so just fine until that point). Thanks! ;)

Can't answer this one unfortunately. There are no errors in the log and it shows ATC com's continued as expected

Yes, I heard as far as the text you posted, I checked my onscreen COM log, and after being told to contact tower when established, nothing else happened, no landing clearance, nothing on the ground about taxiing to the gate... No idea why?

If I have the same next flight, I'll post another log here.

Thanks Dave.

Ah, well you said in your OP that it stopped after getting 'contact approach' so I'll have to take another look. Might not be till tomorrow now though

Hi Dave, I noticed that there was no final resolution posted to this issue. Unfortunately, I am having the same. No contact with ATC after "resume own navigation". I get hotkey beeps but no ATC, Nothing on approach frequency, Tower, Ground AND interestingly enough, no papi lights (which would make sense if airport has no idea I am landing)
So, log attached with hopes this can be sorted out easily.

PS: In a separate post i will address PF3 Displayer, or might I say No PF3 Displayer.

You got these two transmissions after 'resume own navigation'
Quote:
9/6/2024 1:48:59 PM: 120 - Transcript: 'Cessna Papa Charlie Kilo 42 climb to 5 thousand '
9/6/2024 1:49:14 PM: 270 - Transcript: 'Cessna Papa Charlie Kilo 42 radar service terminated. Squawk 1200 '
What else were you expecting as you were on a VFR Free Flight

Hi Dave, Thanks for the (succinct) reply. Kinda expected ATC Approach to respond. Thoroughly reviewed the Free Flight section of the manual, contacting Radar control and using Hotkey #1 to get handoff. Neither Approach (118.15) nor radar control respond, i.e. no beep no instructions. So obviously I'm doing something wrong. I don't think Alzheimer's has begun yet, but then I wouldn't really know, would I?. Unfortunately I cannot use PF3 displayer, but that is for another topic. Any advice would be appreciated.

David, this is not necessarily unrelated to my last post. Logs attached show that I am unable to run PF3 Displayer. Could be PF3 (my settings), possibly FSUIPC, or perhaps my pc. I am aware that PF3 displayer does not necessarily display the same frequencies as MS2020. Could you please give me any advice on this?

Hello - you can get that error if pf3_display.exe is not being "Run As Administrator" - right-click the shortcut icon > Shortcut > Advanced (on my version of Windows).
