Hello OnCourse:
For the past few days, or really probably a few weeks, ATC has occasionally given me unrealistically slow airspeeds as I near my destination and for my approach speeds. If I am unable to reduce my speed to the ATC instructed speed, I never receive final clearance to land, or taxi instructions unless I cut them short with the "Request Landing Clearance" option.
For example, I just completed a flight from KLWB to KSTL in the Eaglesoft Citation X. ATC kept telling me to reduce my speed to 110 knots which I believe would be unrealistic for any of the Citations. On that subject, the Citation X is not an option in PF2000. Which option is the nearest to that bird in the PF2000 selections (i.e. Citation 1, Citation 1-SP, Citation 2/-S2, Citation 2-SP, Citation 3/6/7, Citation 5, or Citation C525?)
I am pretty sure that IF I had been able to reduce speed to 110 Knots, ATC would have then told me to reduce my speed even lower. I don't remember the aircraft, but on one flight recently, ATC finally instructed me to reduce my speed to 30 knots, which would have been a bit low for a J3 Cub.
This is a new one on me. I have had PF2000 since it was released, and purchased PFE as soon as OnCourse was kind enough to make the modifications to let it work on the newer MSFS versions. Over these many months (and years), I have never seen this ATC speed glitch until quite recently.
Any Ideas?
Thanks:
