Hi,
I find certain things in defaukt ATC of MSFS2020 which are very handy, like airports near to you, and airports farher from you, IFr clearance if you are lost, etc
We do not have that facility still.

Yesterday I forgot to activate PF3 and during cruise, I opened PF3 ATC on second Monitor, filed the flight plan and connected to MSFS2020.
But PF3 ATC comes up with clearance delivery message and taxi instructions .But at that moment I am cruising?.
In MSFS2020 ATC, whith few clicks we can get ATC working for that part of the flight ,cruise or approach whatever may be?

Kindly coment

I sometimes do a similar thing during VFR flights - depart and contact ATC once airborne like I would in real life from a smaller airfield. As long as you are dialed to the expected departure or center frequency you can jump straight into getting a radar contact. If you contact the FSS you should also get told that they'll open your flight plan and be given a departure frequency. But you can't dial into clearance delivery once airborne because it will throw everything out of sorts...it will likely work but you'll have to manually push the frequency from clearance to ground to tower and the system will be expecting you to be on the ground...so it won't work perfectly. When you kick off PF3 make sure you write down the departure frequency....dial that in and you'll be ok making initial contact in the air...or should be most of the time.

Your experience may vary.
Cheers, mike
