Hi, :)
I've got the Regional Setting issue, and I'm in trouble fixing it!!:(

In a nutshell:

I've got 4 PC running in my homecockpit.

The one that runs PFE,is a WideFs client PC,running OGS1.20(PFD),FSXpand Client,Ivap client and PFE.
Every time I start PFE my Regional Settings change, but in this way, all the others Clients go crazy!!
If,after PFE is started,i change the Regional Settings back, everythings seems to works, but when i select a radio freq,PFE didn't recognize the freq due to a different decimal separator(in Italy we have comma for decimals and dot for numbers groups).I've noticed that PFE don't change ALL regional settings(Ex:Italian to English),but change only the comma and dot positions(they're inverted)so i have dot for decimals and comma for NGroups, and this is a big problems for all the other PCs in my Network.I can't switch my Regional Settings to English, cause it will cause a mess in my system, and I don't want to reinstall all the other software,it's a looot of stuffs.

Please,I love PFE,but these is a big problem for me...some ideas?!
I tried to check PFE's .INI and .CFG files, but nothing come in help.
Everything is well installed and doublechecked ;) ..

I hope you'll find the trick!!
Thx a lot.
Regards,

NDBeastie.

Edit:

I'v also notice this:

PF2000 changes the regional settings when compiling an adventure,so the adventure is compiled
with the 'Dot&Comma' inverted.(This is a problem too!!)
If I maintain those regional settings(=inverted Dot&Comma),PFE recognize(obviously ;P) the Freqs. in the right way,but all the others Clients(Gauges,Fmc,etc)goes crazy!!
If I change the Dot&Comma positions,PFE still works fine, but with this freq issue:
-For Freq like 121,75..no problem! There's no Dot sorting the decimals, but PFE read it anyway.(Ex:PFE read 12175 inst.of 121.75 but still works fine.)
-For Freq like 121,70..no way!!PFE reads 1217 instead of 12170.The zero is overleap.

THX.

I will certainly look into this again as I have had a few users with regional setting problems. However, I would not think this will be a quick fix.

Yes,i know this is not easy at all...

I was just thinking 'bout a script to rescan the compiled adv files and change the commas in dots & back!!
In my case this could do the trick!!Infact if I invert only the comma and dots position in my regional settings,PFE works fine..

..I hope we find a solution..

If u needs any help,or betatesting,just ask!! ;)

Regards,

Stefano.

Sorry no, as I said it will not be a quick fix and I simply haven't had a chance to even revisit it yet.
