Hi,

Flight EGKK-EGPH. During the descent on EGPH the control said : "Check position. We show you to be about 248 milles off the airway" ! I finished the flight alone.

Attachments.

Thanks and Regards,

Richard Portier

Looking at the waypoints I assume you wanted to enable a SID, but this feature is turned of. Did you do this to circumvent the altitude bug in 3.2.0?
You missed WP4 (ACORN) by about 12 miles and for some reason the automatic "user bypassed a waypoint" routine did not kick in. Maybe this was due to the early waypoints being extremely close to the airport. But I don't really know.

I got into the habit of regularly checking the "Next WP" in the pf3_display.exe, at least just before my TOD. So I can see if a waypoint was missed and PF3 has fallen behind. In that case I request a direct to the correct next waypoint and can continue the flight with PF3.

PF3 expects you to follow your flight plan and to get somewhere near each waypoint. You decided, for whatever reason, to fly away from ACORN and the following intersection D260J. That's as far as I bothered to look I'm afraid. :o

Dave, but why did the bypass detection not detect this?

Because he missed two concurrent waypoints... there has to be a line

Ah, I understand.
But then, why did the nagging about airway deviation kick in that late?

I imagine that a test is probably done can be depending on altitude or phase of flight (descent, approach) ? Anyway, your question is pertinent.

It's the reason.

Thank you for the tip Ralph, I remade the while applying this wise advice. All was fine.
