Hello,

There is an altitude in my flight plan and I am entering an altitude where I am asked. I have no altitude in my adventures.
What am I missing here please?

Thanks in advance,

When you say you're entering an altitude when asked... where do you mean exactly? And when you say you don't have any altitudes in your .... er... adventures... (they are actually flight files, not adventures) how do you know. What problems/errors are you getting.

Also, what version of PFE are you running, what version of Windows and where have you installed PFE?

Hello,

The flight plan KCHS->KCAE is IFR.
Generated by FSX
Altitude in the flight plan is 6000 feet
Converted by PFE into my selected PFE directory
Load the flight plan( the converted one) into PF2K and compile it
It says the altitude is 6000
The compile asks about toc & tod alt-> they say 6000 feet
I save the compiled plan
I load the compiled plan into PFE - start FSX
I start PFE - load the plan
from that point on, there is no altitude mentioned by the program. Departure says climb and maintain
but never says a number. The entire flight sounds OK but there is no altitude conveyed to me "to climb - to" or "descend - to"

PFE version is 2.14.0
Windows 7 64 bit all current updates installed
installed pfe into C:\program files (x86)\PFE

Thanks,

Ron Sagel

Hi Ron,

first :installing an FSX program in the Program files directory is never a good idea (same for FSX - that directory in protected in Windows7)

in ProFlight2000 :

what is your Cruise Altitude ?

settings page :what is your Flight Level Altitude and Center Altitude ?

You will have to start again and re-install PFE into another directory,it will create it's own folder wherever you install it.
Delete any remaining files and folders it leaves behind after uninstalling it.

you will never get contacted by center if you stay at 6000 feet because center altitude is at 14500

so if you are planning to stay at 6000 feet set your center altitude below 6000 ft

Hello,

First, let me thank you for your efforts to get my PFE working. I followed all directions to the letter. My results are as follows:

1. I uninstalled the entire PFE system and all of the related files and folders
2. I reinstalled the program in c:\PFE
3. I added the Inclusive update files and the program finished up-to-date
4. I tried to install my Additional voice files and the install failed
5. I used the version 2.0 "dummy" file and the voice files still will not install
6. I tried the flight from KCHS->KCAE. I checked the compiled flight and the alt was 6,000 feet
7. I set all parameters per your instructions
8. The flight still does not recognize the 6000 foot flight. When it says any altitude related info
the answer stops before the altitude is said.

Hello again

I tried the same flight plan with Radar Contact 4. The entire flight went 100%. All altitude related commands were there.
My PFE compile also is OK because I printed it out and the 6000 foot ALT is in the plan.
