Firstly I should say that I just received my PFE CD-ROM and installed the programme (not in Program folder, or even drive! It seemed to go fine). I never used ProFlight Emulator so this is going to be new to me, though the instructions look pretty clear so far. I want to take things slowly and not mess up my FS9/PFE installation by trying to run before I can walk, so I may post questions here annoyingly (I hope not) often (!) - as I perhaps did when I first bought FDC. But I soon got the hang of that, so... (I promise to hunt for answers here and in the manual before I post, of course!).

So, my first PFE question: I have a lot of FS9 flight plans (made with FS Navigator) - about 1700 of them. Is there no 'batch' convert option; I must do each one separately? It's gonna be a long job if not (and I am guessing the answer is 'not'!)... best I verify this BEFORE I start to convert them all one by one!!!

On the other hand, do I need to use Flight Plans in PFE at all? I have all my FS9 plans and I use FS Navigator on a second monitor as my 'map'. I use the aircraft AP and LNAV functions to follow my flight plan... Or maybe PFE needs to have an active flight plan for the ATC to work?? (I am probably asking stupid questions??).

What I bought PFE for is to replace ATC and get the various ATC voices. No idea yet how to set that up - or how to integrate PFE with pilot voices/checklists etc. etc. in FDC; but it's early days yet of course.. I'll read the manual from cover to cover before I ask anything else here.

have you watched my tutorial video's located at the front page under tutorials by Dave Leesley,it will answer just about all of your questions before you ask them....

I downloaded them a couple of days back, but haven't watched them yet - will make that my first port of call then. Thanks
