Dave, That's odd because if I run the original version (v1.84) before applying any updates I don't get any missing calls. Making the same flight after updating to v2.14 I do get missing calls. One of the missing calls, I think it's due to 'pfchat401A' being absent, is the one should you should hear from 'Clearance' after acknowledging your initial clearance, I think the phrase missing is '....contact ground on ...'. I hear that using the original version though so I'm not sure that the missing files shouldn't be part of the culmulative update. Presumably you agree with me that they're not in it? What's the date / time of 'pfchat401a.wav' on your system? Would that help track down what version it should be provided with? As this is taking up a lot of our time would it be possible for you to send me / allow me to download the 'Pfchat????.wav' files or even all the wavs that aren't part of the expansion pack? I'm more than willing to provide a disk and pay postage if required. Andy L |

Dave, I've just done a clean install of v1.84 onto my laptop and there are no 'pfchat????.wav' files newer than 26 Jun 2007 appearing anywhere on that PC. The missing ones are definately not there either. It's a genuine Aerosoft disk that came in a sealed case complete with the registration key on a label inside so if the missing files are supposed to be on it I don't know what's gone wrong ![]() Andy L |

Hi Andy, I don't get much chance to get onto my pc these days but will hopefully try and get to the bottom of this as soon as possible. I don't understand why we don't have a lot more users with the same problems if the files are missing Sent from my Samsung Galaxy S |

Dave, Thanks for your efforts, much appreciated, I hope we can sort this out soon - it might benefit other users as well. I've also been wondering why there don't seem to be many other reports of missing calls. Perhaps a few users haven't noticed and perhaps it also depends on the upgrade path taken. If they're updating a fairly recent download version, or a v1.84 disk version that's had previous updates installed, it could well be that they've already got the files I don't have. I suppose you've got no way of telling how many are taking the same route as me i.e. v1.84 disk straight to v2.14. Andy L |

I haven't been following this thread in detail, but for what it is worth I have just cross-checked a few of the files mentioned in my setup and some of those mentioned do not exist, e.g. pchat401a in PfeFlightE although it is present, for instance, in PfeFlightF. Andy L has referred to having nothing between 'pfchat400d' and 'pfchat408a' - I have several in PfeFlightE but nothing before Pfchat400h for example. Whilst in PfeFlightF (as a comparison) mine start at pfchat400a/b/c.wav and then jumps to 401a (i.e. doesn't have a 400h/i/j/k/l/m/n/o/p/q. If the files in each directory should match then I have some missing too. I wasn't aware of any problems although occasionally I find a call or reply missed - I have always put that down to my incompetence rather than PFE. If I have jumped in and grabbed the wrong end of the stick here I apologise, but if this helps identify that Andy L's problems are not unique, then all well and good. John |

Dave, Double checking after reading John's post I think I missed a few files when I said I didn't have any in the range 'pfchat400d' and 'pfchat408a', there are a few. Below is a complete list of the pfchat40??.wav files I've got after applying the cumulative update. I see John has 'PfeFlight?' folders I'm assuming these are part of the expansion pack that I don't have, although the xpack2_sp1.exe, xpack2_sp2.exe, xpack2_sp3.exe, xpack2_sp4.exe and xtaxi_2.exe files that got installed, but not run by the update, do contain those folders.

Dave, I forgot to mention that I've now got a way of getting a list of folder & subfolder contents into a file so if you need that info as part of your investigation it would be easy for me to email it to you. http://www.majusoft.de/ is where I got it from if you need it. Andy L |

Post subject: | Re: Hotkey reset problem |
Sorry to dig up an old post. I have just purchased PFE from aerosoft. I am also getting the "run time error 381 invalid property array index" when I try to reset the keyboard hotkeys. The installer (full 2.14) seemed to go fine (although I had to manually run xinstall3.exe to overcome an "error 91" when adjusting sid/star). Was there ever a solution to this hotkey crash problem? Thanks. Peter |

Please download and install the latest cumulative updates package from the forum. When doing so please ensure you stop all other programs, especially your anti-virus and any other security type programs you might have. |
