I also recommend http://onlineflightplanner.org/ It uses routfinder which inherantly always uses the latest airac cycle and it's all free. Online flightplanner will also generate your fpl in a wide variety of formats.
A word of warning though with "all" these flightplanning programmes including PFPX. They will always try to route via airways. So in this case where a direct flight does not use an airway they will generate a very circuitous route. The fpl I provided above is direct and doesn't use an airway so if there are no airways present on your A to B flight it's a case of manually adding the waypoints.

Problem with Online flightplanner, which I use to use, is that using the latest Airac, there may be waypoints in the flight plan that don't exist in the sim. When using Plan G, Plan G uses exactly what is in the sim you are using, so it works perfectly with PF3 which also uses the sim data only.

PF3 does not know any waypoints, but simply takes them from the flight plan(ner).
And FSX has no problems with waypoints it does not know either.
Main problem are VORs and such that are not available, but you could pretend that they are currently damaged :)

Just want to point out that this is only a problem if you are using the sim's navaids or GPS for navigation. I'm still using FS9  but I have an add-on FMC that is updated with AIRAC and can fly current procedures even though many of the waypoints are not in FS9. (Payware aircraft with navigation systems that can be updated should work too.) These current flight plans work fine in PF3 because PF3 just uses the latitude and longitude from the flight plan.

Every once in a while I shut off the FMC and just do some radio navigation. In those cases, the navaids really do need to be present in the sim in order to make use of them for navigation.

No need to be embarrased, so do I. Too much time invested in FS9 to get how it looks to consider changing.

And yes, a flight plan created with waypoints that are not in the sim is no problem for either the sim or PF3 to handle.

Hope you're testing PF3 on "proper" aircaft like the VC10 :D

In FS9 if I use the CIVA INS then any waypoint will work. But not so in FS9 if I try to display the FS9 flightplan.
To get around that I use "facility editor" which only works in FS9. In the avsim library.
