I think there is an option in ASN Next to prevent weather changes when you are near the airport. |

ThomasAH is correct, in ASN you can stop weather updates when on approach which apparently locks the weather when within 80 Nm if your destination. Plus there's weather lock by ATC which locks the weather at departure and destination airports. Give them a try, it worked for me when on arrivals into LOWI ![]() Regards Rob |

In AS6.5 I already have, "Use local range suppression" (plus "Use update suppression", "Disable all updates on ground" and "Disable local changes on ground") checked, with 100nm suppression range set. Maybe to avoid these runway changes I need to check "Disable winds aloft", too, so there is no wind simulated at all in FS. ![]() |

Or perhaps first better to try the option to set all winds to the same direction as those at the destination airport ("Extended destination wind force"). I'll try that, but the constant runway changes don't happen all that often anyway, as was noted. |

Still getting multiple runway changes - have had up to six (!) changes of mind, but often there are at least two. It'd be great to be able to suppress all runway changes in options, or, as with some other parameters, select a maximum (of one?) number of changes allowed, and the % probability of it occurring at all. I can't see how else to tweak Active Sky now to prevent this, so it's back to PF3! ![]() |
