As far as deviating from the fpl course check Options #1 - "Traffic advisories enroute" it works both ways as it were.
As far as deviating from the fpl course check set it to 4nm

Concerning your second remark I enter Airway deviation distance=1. Are you suggesting to leave it at 4nm ?

Hi Richard,
Yes the default is 4. If for example I'm taking-off from LIMF for the UK the SID has some very sharp right turns. If my speed is above 250kts then I go outside the turn radius and for anything less than 4 I will get nagged. When you think that 4nm represents only going off course for 30 seconds at cruise that's not much either

No, not now with PF3. But it was a bit of a bind in PFE.
