For some reason the last couple of times that I landed at an airport after leaving the active runway I have been told to 'taxi to parking' rather than be told to taxi to a gate. I have no idea why this is happening as I was in a 737-800 so obviously I shouldn't be taxiing to general aviation parking.

Is there any reason why this could be happening or something I am missing?
