I'm interested in purchasing PFE but I'm having a hard time finding any information regarding its compatibility with FSX: Steam Edition.

I was wondering if anyone has tried it and if it works?

PFE is standalone ,so actually wouldn't like to say "Yes or No"

From what i've read , some addons aren't compatible and new installers are having to be created.

I appreciate you taking the time to reply, but your answer is a little confusing to me.

I understand that PFE is standalone, however I also understand that it has to "connect" to FSX in order to function as it is supposed to. So it seems obvious to me that PFE either functions correctly or it does not with FSX:SE.

If I were to go ahead and purchase PFE, would OnCourse be willing to refund my purchase if it does not work with FSX: Steam Edition? If you could bring this question to the attention of someone at OnCourse that has the authority to say yes or no, I would appreciate it.

I've spent a couple of days attempting to get PFE functioning with FSX:SE, but it crashes when I attempt to "connect to FSX".

I've got debug set to 5, have the latest version of FSUIPC, and I believe I have my install and sharing permissions set up correctly. I've reviewed the written materials and watched the youtube tutorials as well. I've also searched the forum for potential solutions.

Is there anything I can do to help you guys diagnose the problem and perhaps find a solution? PFE looks like a great product and I would dearly love to get it functioning correctly, but I'm stuck for what the next step would be to try to solve the problem.

I'm assuming you haven't installed PFE into the C:\Program Files folder?

Could you send me ALL the files in your PFE\Logs folder

I just e-mailed the log files to you. PFE is installed in C:\FS_Addons\PFE.

There apparently a new version of FSUIPC (4.938f 1/25/2015) Still marked 4.938c though on the web page, so you may want to try it again with that version. Myself, I'm waiting for ASN compatibility, before installing FSX-SE. There is an ASN related fix in the release notes, so maybe that will be soon!.

Well the good news is with the latest version of FSUIPC 4.939 PFE now appears to work fine on FSX-SE,
