Hello all, I am new to this forum.

I have heard good things about PFE and am sick of MS controllers and RCV4 has never worked on my PC.

I installed PFE Deluxe on 22 November. I received my key yesterday.

I attempted to install the key and got a message Licence Key Installed with a Red X. I closed PFE using the Exit button and started the application again and the trial page appeared again. I did this several times and thought there must be a trick to this.

I checked the forum.
1) The key was requested, recieved and installed on the same machine.
2) pf_emulator.ini has been deleleted 3+ times.
3) The application has been removed and reinstalled using with all virus protection was stopped.

Another issue is that the Connect button is not enabled. FSX is installed in the root directory and it is a fresh reinstall yesterday.

Any thoughts about how I can get this going?

Jim,

Did you follow the instructions on installing the license file.

1. Copy it into you main PFE folder

2. Start/stop/start PFE

3. That's it

The 'Connect' button will only be active once you have selected a flight file (converted flight plan) from PFE

Yes I read and followed the instructions. I have spent the last hour trying to get it to work. It appears the .key file disappears when I attempt to install the key.

The only thing that has worked is my Virus Protection. The first time I downloaded PFE I had several viruses discovered.

There is obviously a disconnect between my systems and your software. I give up.

You obviously have a very popular and good application. I will not be able to enjoy it. I cannot afford more time to pursue a fix or be exposed to the risk of additional high impact viruses.

Cheers,

Is your virus software saying that PFE is riddled with viruses?

If thats the case,it wont be true,

Jim,

When you say the license file disappears when you try to install it, exactly what are you doing.

Your AV is throwing up false positives I'm afraid
