Hi,

I'm interested in purchasing PFE. I've used both RC4 and VoxATC and while both are good, they fall over in a few places. Namely SID/STAR for RC4 and weather detection of ASN for VoxATC (among some other less annoying things). I have a few questions regarding PFE before I purchase:

1) Can PFE detect ASN weather and assign the correct runways (something Voxatc can't do at the moment)

2) Can You configure PFE to avoid high terrain on approach (eg Sion LSGS approach)

Thanks

Dan

You will get vectored to runway on arrival and may get some runway changes due to changing wind conditions

2) Can You configure PFE to avoid high terrain on approach (eg Sion LSGS approach)
No...you have to fly that approach yourself, you can adjust altitude within PFE but done at own risk

Thanks

Dan

1. Yes
2. You can set the FAF for individual airports so atc Will not tell you to descend below that altitude

1. PFE checks to see what rwy AI is using. The problem arises when there is a crosswind component of more than 4kts. It affects all the ATC add-ons. So in that situation expect a rwy change.

2. For the Sion approach set your FAF to 16,000ft as instructed in the landing plates. The a/c will descend on the ILS at 2,000fpm so you'll need your speed brakes out. As the hospital disappears from view turn right to align with the rwy and reduce your descent rate. Make sure your gear is down and you have full flaps earlier than in a normal 3deg approach.

Try both great combo!

When you try RC you'll love PFE even more with its TGS plus voice pack :)
