Where is the ADV file?

there is no messages at all, i start pfe everything works fine select a adv file then i start fsx , select correct airport and launch it. then i press alt+tab and click on the connect to fs button on pfe. then pfe disappears and the fsuipc display window open showing "initialasing" and after nothing

on my pfe logs folder i have only 2 files "intall" and "start up"

I can see you are installing with Admin rights... what about your security program, is that interrupting the install? Maybe what you should do is disconnect from the internet and stop all security type programs, especially your anti virus, and then try a reinstall. Obviously once it's installed turn your security programs back on and configure them to leave the PFE folders alone and then reconnect your internet connection.

One other thing... select Options #1 from the PFE main menu, then at the bottom left of the next window set the Debugging control to '9' and try 'connecting' to FS. Hopefully this time you may get a debug log created in the LOGS folder. If so please send it to me

Hmm, this is a strange one Dave, I also get the same strange crash mentioned in this thread, only if I have that debug level set at 0, if I set it to any other number other than 0 then it seems to work fine. I wonder if that helps you any. I've only actually tested level 1 and 9.

i think that was the problem
my debug level was set to zero by default
i set to 9 and pfe can now connect!!!!
