Post subject: Can't get FDC working

When I open FDC with FS9 already open and click on the 'Current location' button, I get the following message - FS must be running BEFORE you can detect your current position, but FS9 is running??
I have installed the two exe files - PFE_V312_System, Sysinfo_inst.
I installed FDC and the above two exe files as administaror.
I am using Win 7.
What am I doing wrong please?

Hi Dave. Thanks. I have checked my previous post, ands yes I had my firewall and anti virus turned off during install.
I'm still getting the message I quote below though?
