As I fly, I get some unwanted transition altitude calls - sometimes as low as 4000'. For now I would be OK to have TA set for 18000', globally, (though I know that is not how it is really) - at least until I get the problem sorted anyway.
I run PFE and FDC together, though I guess it is not 100% sure that either programme is causing the various TA callouts. In FDC I have all TAs set to 18000 (in Options/Misc/Airports). In PF2000, I have tried entering '0' in the Flight Level Altitude box (as advised in a thread somewhere in these forums, to get local TAs) - but zero always defaults to 1000' as you exit the settings window (is that normal?) and also 18000. There's nothing I can find to adjust in PF2000 Emulator...
At the moment I am getting a Transition Altitude of 13000', ascending and descending. How do I change this? If it's not FDC or PFE, any suggestions where else I might look? I can't see that any other programme I run as I fly would, or could, set a TA. Only the PMDG 747-400 - but my TA is not set to FL130 in the CDU...
Maybe someone could just confirm anyway that I have the TA settings right in PFE/FDC.
Thanks,
Martin
