Has anyone who uses PFE got the wonderful Zvartnots airport (ICAO = UGEE, but changed more recently yo UDYZ) scenery installed. (IMHO it is one of the best freeware airports available for FS9. The quality surpasses a lot of the payware stuff I have bought over the years)? It is here:

http://www.avsimrus.com/files.phtml?act ... d&id=16623

with a patch here:

http://www.avsimrus.com/files.phtml?act ... d&id=23152

PFE ATC directs me to Gate 7 for take-off, which it thinks is runway 9. The TGS gauge takes me to gate 7 (a long way from the runway) too. The default FS9 AFCAD is similar to the addon one and the aircraft is in the same position there too, so it's not an AFCAD problem. I can't make out what the problem may be. If I ignore ATC and go to the runway, I can no longer get ATC to respond at all.

FS9 ATC didn't, I am sure, have any problems here. I like the airport and the surrounding scenery and so fly from/to it relatively frequently: I would remember if I had had similar problems before PFE. maybe anyone who has this fine airport in their FS9 setup could kindly check to see if they have a similar issue?

Thank you!

Martin

Have you just installed this scenery? If so, have you updated PFE database?

Do you have a duplicate AFCAD perhaps from an AI traffic program ?

Try running the AFCAD through a "fault finder in ADE or AFCAD to see if there is a missing taxi link

Ok I have just tried to do a flight from here and get the same weird taxi instructions as you. I started from gate 2

I have looked at the AFCAD in ADE and cant see any major problem. Only thing I can see is that RWY9 involves a portion of taxi on the runway before a 180 degree turn to reach the runway start position. I am not enough of an expert to know if that creates a problem for taxi instructions.

I ignored the taxi instuctions, taxi-ed to the start position, tuned tower on the radio and requested takeoff clearance which was given straight away.

Probably don't need to answer re. your first post (but would have been, No - N/A - No & Did that (in AFCAD 2, no faults), as you get the same thing. I couldn't get anything at all at the runway from ATC, no matter what key I pressed. Will have another go tomorrow.

BTW, when I followed ATC to Gate 7 and asked for take-off clearance, I got a reply 'Expect clearance in ten'. Is that a normal (if unusual?) reply in PFE ATC?

Just tried it from a different gate (17) and same result !

If I use FS9 ATC I get correct taxi instructions !!

Very odd. Anyway If you get this again, the answer is to taxi to the runway, tune tower and request take off.

When you are at the runway you need to change to tower frequency. You will have been still tuned to ground

"Expect clearance in 10" is a normal reply from atc.

I thought that if you pressed zero you got a little window giving you the frequencies. I got nothing. Will use FSNav to get frequencies if that happens when I try same flight tomorrow..

You only get that window when you press 0 for the first time to connect to clearance. Other frequencies will be told to you , or you can look them up.... the display utility I refered to in another post is very useful for that.

No ATIS on 119.50 either Peter? (I do get the static 'intro' though). Something odd with this airport... Dave, where from does the taxi gauge read its information?
