Hi Dan, I appreciate your humble interruption, no problem. I'm new to this program myself and appreciate any suggestions or feedback from the community. As far as your questions. 1st, I know it was around 270 and I didn't realize this was overidden by PFE. If not, then you may have answered my altitude problems. It never made me go over my altered waypoint altitude, I just had the wrong assigned alt. at the waypoints. So I need to make sure that is set correctly as well? And the center altitude, not sure what that is. Is that like departure, approach and center. Because I remained on departure almost to my destination. I never was handed over to center. Maybe I was too low for center? I do know that I should've been turned over to another freq. other than departure midway through my flight, unless this has something to do with what your talking about center alt. I didn't see any pdf's using PF2000. I was under the impression that PFE overrides PF2000. But from what your suggesting, it still has some settings I can use? I welcom your feedback. Thanks.

PFE overrides many, but not all, settings in PF2000. Cruise altitude and center altitude are functional settings in PF2000 and need to be adjusted (especially for short flights with low cruise altitudes). This is a short clip from the FAQ:

A: A few things to check in ProFlight Settings... please ensure you have your Cruise Altitude set to at least the same altitude as that in your flight plan... also ensure the Center Altitude is not too low (you may need to experiment with this one but tests have shown it can be too low which can prevent PF compiling the flight plan.... the default is 14,500)... also make sure the Center altitude is lower than the cruise altitude...

This is what I would suggest: Set the cruise altitude in PF2000 to the same cruise altitude you have in your flight plan. On the right side of the "settings" page in PF2000, set the center altitude to something lower than your cruise, but not too low. (The center altitude is where you are handed off from departure to center, and center to approach on descent.) Click OK, then exit PF2000 and re-start it to enable your new settings. You can then compile the flight plan and make any further adjustments to your waypoint altitudes using the "adjust waypoint altitudes" screen in PFE. Hope this solves your problem!

One other fast suggestion: On the PF2000 settings page, set the "flight level altitude" to 0 (zero) if you intend to use the regional transition altitudes feature in PFE. This will allow you to have different transition altitudes in different parts of the world.
