Hi Dave,
hi all,

the other day I tried to connect FDC (v3.14) to the AXE (v1.04 plus hotfix 011). FDC didn't connect because it was unable to "read" the number of flaps settings of the AXE (read "0" flaps settings, probably due to the external coding of the AXE flaps system).

Is there a way to get around this? I noticed the Aerosoft Airbus X performance file; is there something similar for the extended version of that AS Airbus?

Thanks for bothering!

Regards, Oliver
(Still a very happy FDC user)

Hi Dave,

thanks for your quick reaction.

What I've done so far after starting this topic:

- I installed the 'Aerosoft Airbus X' performance file (the next best thing for the AXE).
- I got it working from the 2d panel only (FDC connecting to FSX, recognizing flaps settings and running checklists, for example).

Shame is, the AXE can only be operated from the VC. I'm just guessing that I couldn't connect before, because I was in the VC already. Now I can answer the checklist items of FDC in the AXE from 2d panel, too (hitting 'space bar'), but not from the VC.

So right now it seems to me to be a problem of a 'virtual cockpit only aircraft'.

Am I right? Would the flaps section of the AXE aircraft.cfg still be of some interest for you?

Cheers, Oliver

As an update to everyone interested in FDC with the AXE:

Finally I had the checklists running from the VS, as well. Can't tell you what the exact conditions are which have to be met. Maybe another addon blocked the FDC hotkeys (Ctl+SpaceBar, Spacebar).

AXE DOES work with FDC; simply use the performance files (2 of them, one A320, one A321) for 'Aerosoft Airbus X' and checklists of your choice!
