I have just changed PC's and I am reinstalling all my add-on's but the one problem I am having is with the above.

I have the disc installed version 1.84 and have now downloaded the accumalitive updates but when I try and install the Voice Pack it states that I must have the version 2.0( or something like that number) or higher.

I had it installed on my previous PC with no issues but I am at a loss as to why the Voice Pack will not now install.

Would welcome any assistance please.

Michael

Try this...

viewtopic.php?f=4&t=13

and then install acumulative updates to bring it upto V2.14

Hi Dave,

Many thanks for your reply.

I have just carried out your instructions.

I then clicked on the PFE icon and received the message "PFE is already running on this computer" when it wasn't as I had just competed the download.

Pro Flight opened OK with no issues.

Further assistance would be appreciated.

Michael

If you got that message then PFE WAS already running

Thanks Dave,

The message said that PFE was already running but I was unable to open the PFE box etc.

I now click the PFE Icon and receive the following message;
Be-Wise-Kernal not available-Relocated base address 24000 to new base address 34000.For this change to become effective please reboot system now.

I rebooted and still the same message appeared and stating that PFE was already running, when it clearly is not.

Would welcome further observations.

Michael

1:Next locate your destination folder of your choice where you decide to install PFEv1.84 (NOT IN C:\Program Files)..And now start the installation..
2:After install, goto Task Manager and run it,switch/turn off PF_Emulator.exe*32 process otherwise you wont be able to carry on..
3:Now after install,re-boot your system (this is what i do) Do not use PFE icon on desktop..delete it!
4:Replace V1.84 with the accumulative installer to bring it upto date… V2.14.
5:Now replace V2.14 with V2.0 from zip file, then re-boot and now install Voicepack V1.0 follow on screen instructions..
6:Now before installing X-Pack2,replace V2.0 with v2.14 that you stored away,re-boot your system, hopefully it will cure the locking up during install..remove any pfeflight folders and files if a lockup occurs and then try again..
7:Finalise setup, including locating Flightplans and Pilots folder and running Makerwys
8:Any changes to PFE must require a re-boot or an error 381 may arrise..
9:Once PFE as been setup do a test flight,if all goes ok great...if not and you don't hear some calls and only see text, then re-run accumulative update as it's a bad install.

Try this and let me know how you get on...

Dave,

Are you asking me to uninstall PFE and reinstall and then follow your instructions?

You can start from line 2: and take it from there or start completely afresh, you decide....

If you are meaning in the Task Manager and you cannot find it,then the process is not running, you should be able to carry on as per my instructions.
