Hi Dave,

I had a few questions about how PFE works with UT2. I have the Voice Pack Enhancement installed as well (but not the Free to Voice Pack Enhancement set yet).

1. I have set my default FSX traffic to 0 and am letting UT2 control traffic. I have also checked the "PFE ATC Chatter" option in PFE. Can you confirm that the ATC chatter that I am hearing is actually relevant to the UT2 traffic that I am seeing? For example if the UT2 traffic says they are cleared for takeoff, will I actually see that UT2 AI aircraft takeoff? Or is the chatter just random instructions? Do I need the free to voice pack enhancement for this?

2. Most of my ATC chatter seems to involve aircrafts that are called out with their tail number ("November five two six echo" for e.g) rather than their Airline callsign. I saw the answer to this in the FAQ and can confirm that I am using just the Xpack II Voice as well as the correct FSUIPC setting. Any idea what is going on here?

Thank you,
Anubhav

1. Yes, but remember PFE cannot control the AI aircraft and that is performed by FS (not UT), so, PFE's ATC chatter is reactive. Consequently if you have your traffic set to high you could see some timing issues at large airports. I.e. An aircraft taking off before you hear ATC giving clearance.

2. The only time that should happen is when (A) the settings you say you've checked are not correct, and remember some addons like FS Passengers actually change those settings behind the scenes or (B) when the airline and/or callsign are not in PFE's database and consequently the names have not bee recorded for playback.
