Hi all,

I have FSX-SP2 running on W7 Ultimate 64 bits in windowed mode.
Two screens (1980 x1080 and 1440 x 900), FSX on main screen, PFE and accessories on second screen.

ProFlight Emulator Deluxe v. 2.14 from Aerosoft installed in C:\Aerosoft\PFE.
FSUIPC v4.842 and WideFS v7 (embedded).

PFE runs perfectly and TGS gauge also.

But I try desperately to start PFE_Display.exe and RemoteText.exe on this same machine:

PFE.ini is correctly configured (as Proflight 2000 emulator.pdf says):

[RemoteText]
RTActive=1
and
[Closed Captions]
Captions=1

But if I double-click RemoteText.exe or PFE_Display.exe, absolutely nothing open.

I must also say that "Say again/Repeat hotkey" (Ctrl + Shift + =) crashes instantly PFE.

Any idea on this anomaly ?

FAQ gave the answer :

Download and install PFE_runtimes package ... !

Done and voilà ... PFE_Display runs and works but RemoteText runs and asks for address of PFE computer (which can't be the same where RemoteText is running). So the solution is to have PFE on a second machine and PFE_Display and RemoteText on FSX machine.

I'll try it and be back...

Just enter the name of your PC ie:Pierre-PC or failing that enter your IP address(usually found in your security Norton or Mcaffee)

It work, yes ... but at the beginning, on my FSX machine, with PFE and RemoteText running in the same time, RemoteText was refusing to open with this IP address or name of the FSX-machine.

But now, everything is properly running, even Say again hotkey. For this, I had to delete FSX.cfg and let FSX reconstructs a new one. Something was wrong in it, but I'll never know what !

I'm now a happy flyer
