I have FDC Version 3.0. Recently I tried to update to Version 3.2
When then selecting FDC the splash screen would display and then vanish. FDC would not run.

I uninstalled FDC and then reinstalled the original FDC V3.0

Now all I get is the following message ontop of the FDC splash screen.......

Download and instal the latest cumulative updates package from this forum, when doing so please ensure you stop all other programs, especially your anti virus and any other security type programs you might have

I have carried out the Instructions given in your reply.
Downloaded the latest version file fdc_accum314.zip and installed to the following location.
C/Program Files/Aerosoft/FDC.
When restarting FDC I now have a new FDC Splash Screen which dissapears after about two seconds. Nothing else, no FDC?

Wow! Nearly 2 months to reply!!

I'm assuming you are running either Vista or Win 7, in which case you should avoid installing into the default C:\Program Files folder, as those operating system regard that folder as protected and you will get no end of problems.

Dave I am running on XP !!!!
After the last vain efforts I got very frustrated with FDC so put it to one side. The problem did nt go away of course, but felt less like Head banging Keyboard

I will try a clean install and install the update to a new Folder.

As a footnote, I think I did actually get a Message durring install of update which said something like the File chosen for the new install not recognised. This was the location as per my last post.

Now unable to uninstall FDC!
Message "catastrophic failure" appears! Something missing perhaps?

You will need to do this manually, which also means going into the registry to remove keys relevant to FDC.
Sounds like you must have some windows files missing from your system hence the reason for not being able to uninstall....

Thanks Dave. I did begin to wonder about missing Windows Files. Looks like it will have to wait untill a new install of Windows takes place!

Problem now resolved. The culprit appears to have been more than one Registry entry. All FDC entries removed, reinstalled and working fine.
Many thanks for the help.
