Chaps,

Sometimes I'm assigned a gate, sometimes I'm told to 'taxi to terminal', even though there are plenty of gates free. Could you tell me how PFE logic works in this situation?

Ta

Ben

Taxi to terminal happens if PFE can't read the airport afcad for some reason...

You could also assign a gate by using AFCAD 221 by Lee Swordy or Payware version from Flight1 software..a tutorial is available from our website, click on Tutorials by Dave Leesley and it takes you to my tutorials on YouTube,i can't remember which one but it's there somewhere..

What is the logic for gate assignment? The closest gate or does the program looks in the aircraft cfg? Does airline designation in the cfg make a difference?

I did read it. But I was wondering if I didn't assign it myself, would the program read the aircraft CFG.

No, it would just look for the nearest vacant gate
