Dear all,

I have read the forum and software is ok, however I do not get descend instructions. If I descend on my own, I get nagged to return to altitude. I do my plan thru FSC and I do get duplicate way points, but as mentioned on forum I ignore them. Then I tried to set op my own altitudes - no luck. No instruction, only kick back to flight level.

I noticed that my last way point which I want it to be at 17000, it is duplicated 3 times and FL there is FL370 - I change it to 17000.

Then when I am close to destination, all of a sudden I get to contact approach for ILS... from FL370???

Am I missing something?

It sounds like a very bad flightplan to me...

When you come to alter the altitudes do you have a "0" in the last column at the last or near last waypoint, have you checked out my tutorial for flightplanning on YouTube, you can access it from this website..

Any chance you can give us a screenshot or write down the flightplan and it's waypoint altitudes

Please note that BIMPA is the beginning of the STAR - FL170.

Also I was flying with speed 2x - could this be reason? I cant believe it as I did another flight with no speed up and same story.

BTW - where I can see your flight plan?

BTW - BIMPA is beggining of STAR - in theory. So, my FL never gets lower... I use FSC to plan my routes.

If you intend to alter any altitudes here, you have to alter the whole column not just one wp, hence the bad flightplan.

Also to add STAR you need to be on SID/STARS screen, select it from there(see my tutorial on SID/STARS) and then alter it on this screen...but you have been warned that if you make adjustments and that are not in the parameters of PFE,you will have a bad flight plan..

I use FSC and FS Build for flightplanning...

Hi. What about 3 times same waypoint where I know that this is way flight plan is compiled. But why 3 different altitudes? And what if I do not place any star? I did the flight without any altering of fl... Same problem no descend command.

Ok...just created your flightplan using FSC 8.6 and using your altitudes in PF2000 and PFE i get totally different variables to yours...at my last wp my altitude is 11000....and EPWA 361

Now my suggestion is to you...create the flightplan again and use an altitude of say 33000ft and specify either low or high altitude in FSC and specify same altitude in PF2000 when compiling.
If successful with correct altitude, then try with STAR,see how you get on
