Yes, I've wasted my money on this. There are just way too many steps to get this installed and working correctly. So, I have come to the decision to uninstall this application and perhaps I'll wait for a version 3 or 4. Hopefully a significant overhaul will streamline the installation process thus making the process less apt to acquiring errors upon installation. Additionally, the problem with antivirus software quarantining files from the program is just disconcerting.

Sorry,

Kareem

Sorry...i disagree with you,if you have followed the instructions correctly in the manual or the tutorials to backup the manual it is fairly straight forward and by reading your posts you have sometimes tried to "run before you can walk"

As for anti virus software it is sometimes necessary to turn off AV before installing some programs,PFE being one of them otherwise it can delete certain files needed, you then configure your AV to leave it alone afterwards if so wish..

But as usual..it's not your fault but the product, are you willing to hold your hands up and say "well maybe i screwed up by not following the instructions correctly" i bet not!!

Complete reinstall (new hard drive) took me about 20 minutes and 15 of that was installation of the Xpack and Xpack enhancement. Install is a breeze. AND I'm running it on a networked computer. Just what do you consider "way to complicated"? Where are you running into trouble? And turn your antivirus off. PFE does NOT have a virus in it and many antivirus software detect one (my Eset does, but disabling it temporarily stops that). It's detecting a virus in the anti-pirating protection which is normal.

I will attempt to reinstall again. I just had such high hopes for this. When it worked, it was quite amazing! I guess when you have such high, extreme expectations and experiences with it, when it doesn't work, your disappointment will be just as emotional. So, I will try this again. I was not meaning to blame the creator of the application.

Sometimes it will run and other times it will not. When I start FSX, I usually see the FSUIPC window with the ATC text as soon as I'm sitting in the seat. I'm using PDMG 737NGX.

Also, what keyboard settings should one use for PFE? I've simply deleted all of my Num Keypad assignments in FSX to reserve them for PFE.

Im still not seeing the FSUIPC window. Isn't this supposed to be seen as soon as I start into FSX? How would I know when the PFE program is activated when I start FSX?

Hi,
why should you do that ? Did you have a look at the PFE Hotkeys ? (Options#1 Tab)
The 0 to 9 keys are the keys on your alphanumeric keyboard (under the F1/F12 keys) not those on the Num Keypad

I thought FSX had already tied up those keys so I used the Num Keypad. No? I guess I can switch them back.

I also noticed that PFE seemed to work like it was supposed to when I left the PF2K window open with the PFE window.
