Hello noble flightsimmers

Normally im into Online flying, but try PFE out together with Ultimate traffic, to beef up the traffic experience, but i have encounteret very strange problems. I make planning in FSX, compile and correct waypoints in PF2000. The biggest problem is that even i make a very precise planning in FSX, i can not recoqnize it in the FP created by PFE/PF2000, i have eg. a FP with 1 NDB, 2 named waypoints and 2 VOR's, but the PFE plan only give names to a few and a lot of TOC's and TOD's so i cant se where the waypoint belong or enter the right altitides and compare the two plans. So put it short, i miss completely the chance aligning the two plans.
Sekondly i find the FSX navigation database V E R Y sparse. Normally i fly a Boing 737 with a FMS where all WP's and navigational aids are programable, hence i can easily navigate. I wonder if PFE/PF2000 only recognize FSX's database where a lot of all used navigation points used in real life are missing (problems when using real charts and procedures) or they also will use waypoints only used in a addon flightplanner.
Last consideration is only minor. Leaving Keflavik i noticed that AI planes often was entering the RWY without propper ATC instruction, and that they started before given clearence, that spoils the realism.

Thank in advace for any help ;)
Take care
JP

Hi JP,
1. Consider getting an external FPlanner ie:FS Build or FSC 9 or similar for creating flightplans as PFE works off them flawlessly.

2. PFE as it's own database which is better than FS for navigation.

3. You can specify which runways are to be used for Take-Off and landing.

4. Check out my tutorials for PFE covering everything it as to offer and how to set it up for your own choice...

Hej Dave

Thanks for a quick reply. I am quite exiced about many aspects of PFE, and have read the most, might have missed some though. I will look out for an external FP.

Take Care
