I have installed FDC 2011 3.14 from cd but only get the splash screen. I have downloaded the accumalative downloader which says it is version 3.13? This does not regognise my FDC installation. Am I on the wrong track?

Where have you installed it?....preferably NOT C:\Program Files..
Have you disabled your AV and Firewall when installing..
Any other info you did prior or after install that may have caused this..
What op system are you using?
Have you checked the FAQ's on website for possible cause and any other error messages??

I am using windows 7, tried re-installing without firewall or anti virus and it is installed into c/programs(x86). but still crashes after splash screen without any error messages.

Hi,

do not install into the Programfiles directory :

use C:/FDC instead , the same for FSX or FS9 : always use C/D/E/F/...:/FSX(FS9)
that is the reason for most of the problems with add-on's and flightsimulator because Windows7 don't permit reading/writing/changing files in that directory

have tried what you suggested but no success.

The cumulative updates package should be 3.14 and installing that correctly should fix your problem... Please try again.
