I just got the latest update installed and read through the manual. I created my flight and fired up FSX and after selecting my location and airplane I connected PFE to FSX. My start time was 5 minutes away so I set the COM to 120.35 and as my start time passed I hit the 0 key to sign in. I waited about 5 minutes -- hitting the 0 key every so often but my co-pilot never contacted control. I could hear other flights checking in. BTW in the settings window I have VCP OFF because I want to handle all the radio settings etc.
Did I get a bad build? Also how long after the flight start time that I set in FPE, will I be able to call in to control? Is there a window after which my flight plan is scrubbed?
Thanks
Alan

Hi Alan,
Don't know what you mean about your ' start time'.

I would need to see the debug_monitor file to see why you are not able to contact control.

Sent from my Samsung Galaxy S

I don't know if my memory is getting worse as I get older...
...I just can't remember how it used to be!

The 'start time' is the time I enter in before compiling the flight (by moving the slider at the bottom of the screen). I assume I have to specify that although I don't know why. I will check the debug file when I get back from vacation.
Thanks
Alan

Okay so if I ignore it I just call in to clearance as soon as I am ready to go. Will look at the debug_monitor file later on today.

What am I looking for in the debug_monitor file as it's quite large?
Thanks
Alan

You need to email the whole file to him, the address is in his signature.
