I have just installed PFE and converted my first flight plan from FSX to PF2000. Then I compiled the flightplan and selected new ADV in PFE.
In the meantime I started FSX and I loaded the original flight plan and started the flight (aircraft is at the gate).

However, when I select "Connect to FSX" the following messages appear:
-> IPC timed out all etries
When I click "OK" I see the following message:
-> Problem connecting Flight Sim or Flight Sim not running!

What do I need to do to get PFE connected to FSX?

Thanks very much for your help in advance!

Couple questions. Are you running PFE and FSX on the same computer or seperate systems? Do you have the latest version of FSUIPC installed? If running on seperate systems, do you have and have you registered FSUIPC and WideFS? On seperate systems both are required.... FSUIPC is required either way for PFE to run

In the meantime I managed to connect both. In fact, I needed to run PFE as administrator. Then it worked. Thanks for your help!
