First of all, nothing I am about to say is intended to bad mouth any of the birds described below. Each is a fine contribution to FS and I would highly recommend each of them as well as PFE/PF2000.

I just purchased the special offering of the combination RealAir Duke / Turbine Duke. Like everything else from RealAir, looks like a dandy. This question really concerns all aircraft that contain ONLY a 3D VC panel, but my efforts with the Duke have brought this question to mind again.

I personally favor being able to have secondary windows on multiple monitors (i.e. Radio Stacks, Throttle Quadrants, FMC's, Garmin GNS530, GameCommander, etc.). With the panels in question (Virtual 3d), this is obviously limited if available at all.

For example, some of the other planes I have with similar limited panel options, are the fine freeware LuscombeX and the Carenado Bonanza F33A. I have customized a small 2d panel for the Luscombe which is a simple enough aircraft that little is required. For the F33A I added my 2d panel from the V35 which seems to work just fine for secondary window provisions even when flying with the virtual primary panel.

I believe that the only secondary 2d panel offering for the Dukes is the Garmin GNS 530 (or default 500). I also created a secondary window to include a Bendix Radio Stack which I personally prefer, RKG fuel stat and speed gauges, and a RwyInfo gauge.

Now my question: In such panels, is there any way to include the Taxi Guidance System gauge ("gaugexx=TGS!TaxiGuidanceSystem, 140,130,100,64,Autohide oFF")for the Duke?
For anyone not familar with this gauge, it is provided with the PFE Emulator program in conjuction with ProFlight 2000. This program offers audio taxi instructions from ATC. If desired, this gauge can be implemented which shows you an arrow as to what direction one should taxi. I have found no way to get it to show up for my Dukes in either the virtual panel, or my added 2d secondary windows. I suppose I may be able to add a 2d panel from some other aircraft/panel, but I really would prefer not to go to that extent.

Any ideas?
RTH

If your using more than one monitor why not try the pfe standalone guidance system
