I have just purchased PFE De Luxe from Amazon.com and after installation found it was version 1.8.4
Noticing info in the web page that the current version is now v2.14, I tried to update my version but
without success. I then found information regarding cummulative upgrading but still my PFE shows
as v 1.8.4.
Can someone advise me how to update??

Many thanks

George

BTW this is my first use of PF2K/FE so amy help will be invluable

Well George I can't really give you any more information than what's in the cumulative update read me. What is it you're having problems with exactly.

A few things to take note of when installing pfe is to ensure you are doing so logged on with admin rights and also turn off all other programs, especially your anti virus and other security type products. Plus if your running on vista or win 7 it is best NOT to instal into the program files folder.

Oh yes and do turn windows UAC off

Hi Dave

Thanks for the prompt reply - I should have mentioned that I am running w7-64bit.
Reading thru your comments I think I`ll uninstall PFE and re-install following your advice.
Should I run into probs again I`ll get back to the Forum
Regards

George

Hi Dave

Followed your advice - in particular closing the Firewall and PFE is now up to v2.1.4.

One other query - I cannot trace the ProFlight 2000 User Manual. It doesn`t appear under the
StartMenu - can you direct me please??

Many thanks

George

Thanks Patrick but the manual I am looking for is the original Proflight 2000.
In the PFE manual (v2.12) under 7.1 - page 29 is says about not reinventing the wheel
and that full details can be found in the Proflight User Manual that came with
the original CD OR the electronic one accessed from the Start Menu, which in my
case is not shewn.

Regards

George

Hi George,
I don't think you actually need that manual now but you should find it either in the main pf2000 folder or pf2000/help folder. I'm not near my pc now so may not have got it exact, but its there - although defunct really

Hi George,

no need to change anything in ProFlight2000, but if you want to take a look at the ProFlight200O manual you can find it here :

PFE/FS2000/PF2000/PF2000help.chm
