I don't know if its an absolute must or not but its something I always make a point of doing even with UAC set to off. I'm still not convinced your Windows 7 install is error free after using System Restore.

I am re-installing FS9 at this moment in a new location C:/FS9......I don't yet know what will be the results. Question...should any add-on's which would normally go in (x86) also be loaded as FS9 for instance eg. C:/FSscene 2004

I have never bothered going that far, most new apps are built to work correctly in W7 and Vista its just FS9 and FSX that are the biggest problem. You could create a folder called "FSaddons" and install everything in there if you wanted to.

I like that idea as I want to keep things tidy and in order. I managed to re-install most items tonight and still got my PHNL to KLAX flight in...When I get everything back in order I will try PFE again. I will stay in touch....and Thank you for your help and advice. :)
