Is there a way, does anyone know, to get PF3 to be played through my headphones (Meta Quest 3 VR) rather than through my speakers? May not be a setting in PF3 itself (I couldn't see one, but could well have missed it!); maybe in my flight sim (X-Plane), or in Windows itself? Thanks!

If they are using a separate sound card you should be able to set it up in PF3

As Dave says, for PF3, you can do it in Options 2. You can also do it in Windows, under Sound Mixer settings. This is useful if you have other apps, say FDC or GSX etc, that don’t have this option built in. You can set those to play through your headset, with only the MSFS engine sounds coming from your speakers. Just make sure the app you want to configure is running and your headset is connected. Windows will then remember your settings.

Thanks for the replies. I spent ages trying to get this to work before I posted... as so often, the Windows settings pages I get never look the same as the ones one finds by Googling - or they don't even exist at all. I looked through the PF3 'Advanced Options' page too, but didn't see anything relevant. Sounds like that was my fault?? *

I am encouraged by your replies to give it another go though! :-)

*EDIT.. yes I didn't see the Audio Configuration window! I have set PF3 for my headphones, but the problem I still then have is to stop the sim playing engine and ambient sounds via the headphones as well. That is a definite 'no no' of course and I can only see a few Windows apps in the Mixer settings.. the flight sim is not there ('App volume & Device Preferences' page).

OK, this is working better than I had hoped. Got my ATC chat (separate programme) and Pushback tug guy to come through the headphones too. Why didn't I do this years ago?? (Rhetorical question guys! :D )
