I have come into an interesting situation. When flying from CYHZ to CYQY the nearest waypoint is too close and the rest are too far out. When I plan with simbrief the only waypoint it gives me is NOTOP. It is way to far out and if I use little nav map anything else is too close. Because NOTOP is so far away my experience with PF3 is it wont give me proper clearance to the runway. There is also no STAR to use either. Any idea what I can do in this situation?

Hi Spud, hehe love it!
What I do in this case is load the flightplan into little NavMap, then create a user waypoint on the route about 40 miles from the destination (right click, add user waypoint here). I then select this user waypoint as the last point of the flightplan in PF3.

Cheers

Unless things have changed, PF3 won't load Little Nav Map flight plans

I don't use Little Navmap but other PF3 users do and it should be possible to export the flight plan in a number of different formats, including PLN.

https://www.littlenavmap.org/manuals/li ... ANFMT.html

https://www.littlenavmap.org/manuals/li ... light-plan

If you add a user waypoint you can name it as desired (I think 6 characters max but I'm not certain) and PF3 will use it like any other waypoint in your exported flight plan.

On Little Nav Map save the flightplan as FSX/P3D or whatever you use.

I’ve never had a problem creating a flightplan in Little Nav Map, saving as FSX/P3d and then loading it into PF3.

Cheers,

I use Little Navmap all the time with no problems.

Use the File/Export Flight Plan as MSFS 2020 PLN option and PF3 will pick it up.
