Good Afternoon,

I am mostly flying with VR-Headset and therefore I am using PF3 Webdisplay which is working fine.

I wonder if it is possible to include also the In-Sim captions window into such a webdisplay to see also the ATC messages as text within the VR-environment ?

Cheers

Peter

It's an interesting idea and I will certainly take a look when I have time.
Unfortunately I can't promise a quick resolution, I can already think of a few potential issues. :|

thank you Martin.
I think that would be a selling point for some VR users

Cheers

I have just uploaded a preview of the next version to the PF3 Web Display support forum: viewtopic.php?t=4100

It includes this capability, please let me know how you find using it.

Hello Martin,

many thanks für picking up this issue so fast :D

I copied the new PF3WebDisplay folder into the PF3_Displayer folder and unzipped the msfs-ingame.zip into the MSFS-content folder.
In the PF3WebDisplay.ini file I set RemoteText=1008 (as in the PF3 options under Remote Text and Socket Port #1).
Unfortunately I can not see any RemoteText messages in the Webdisplay window (Server-release 1.1.2). The window looks like before. Probably I did something wrong ?

Another question: Is it possible to change background colors, font colors and fontsizes within the webdisplay window ?

Thanks in advance
Peter

I don't think that you've copied the latest version of the files into the PF3_WEB_Display folder - it identifies itself as 2.0.0.
You need to replace the PF3WebDisplay.exe and Template.pf3w files with the latest versions for the new feature to be available.

I will take a look at making the colours and font size customisable, but I'm not a webpage developer so I don't know how easy it will be.

Cheers,
Martin

It was my fault ! The icon in the toolbar was pointing to the old version. Now it works like a charme :D
Thanks a lot.

Cheers,
Peter

I have just uploaded a preview of version 2.0.1 to the PF3 Web Display support forum: http://www.ocs-support.co.uk/forums/vie ... php?t=4110

It adds the capability to change the colour used for the Web Display - I hope this covers your 'colour' requirement.
Unfortunately, given the way that Web Display works, I can't see an easy way to make font size dynamic at runtime.
In the meantime, have you tried using the browser zoom option to increase the displayed text size?

Cheers,
Martin

Hi Martin,

sorry for my late response. I was on the road the last days.

Thank you very much for the updated version. It works very well. For me it is better readable with a darker font color especially in VR.
Together with the browser zoom option it is perfect for me :) .

Merry christmas and a happy new year !

Cheers,
Peter
