Hi Dave,

Thanks for the latest update to 3.18.0, lots of useful fixes there.

In the update notes:
Quote:
CHANGED the layout of the Advanced Options page slightly to support the
new 'go-around' feature. We also removed the 'Use PF3 Thread' option
(which now defaults to OFF) plus 'Use fastest calculation to determine ATC
taxi routing' option (which now defaults to ON).
With reference to the removal of the ATC taxi routing choice, is there a reason this feature has been removed? The reason I ask is that, in FS2004 at least, the faster option has a habit of taking me to completely the wrong place - sometimes even to GA parking on the opposite side of the airfield instead of the selected gate! This issue has never arisen with the option "OFF" so I shall miss this choice. Unless that is fixed, of course, but there I see no mention in the notes.

John

It does now! ;)
I'll be happy to check this out if you can provide the log.

Cheers,

Thanks, both.

Will certainly provide a log if it happens.

John

PS - and thanks for correcting my boo-boo, Dave.

Good morning, Dave,

Yes, it has happened again - attached is a zip with some files which should help explain what happened. It contains the debig_log file, AFD for the airport (a small add-on) and an image explaining the route I was taken on.

I landed from direction A, exited the runway at B and was instructed to taxi to Gate 4 (which is how I had configured PF3) but the TGS gauge and co-pilot instructions took me to the left via C then right to D where the taxi gauge turned off and I was told "right to gate".

As I said, I didn't get odd routings like this with the slower taxi instructions option selected.

Hope this helps.

John

Hi John,

Thanks for the files.
We'll need to wait for Dave on this one as, although the new taxi routing code is mine, he sets the start and end points.

Cheers,
Martin

Hi John,

In your PF3\Data\Parking folder, please attach the file for FZQA

Hi John, could you possibly repeat this flight using PF3 3.18, with your usual taxi route options set? Try to exit the runway at the same place then request taxi instructions and attach the log file please.
