Hi,

I have a simple flight with 2 waypoints from CYYG to CYGR. Both airports are handled through Multlicom. When I start my flight from CYYG , I tune to the comm frequency 122.9 and "announce taking the runway". I use this to determine which runway to use. I hear the pilot saying that he will take runway 3. I line up on the runway takeoff and then announce "departing the area". I hear the pilot saying that I'm departing the area. I then tune to center which is 119.2. I check in with center and the funny thing is that is doesn't say the altitude that I will be climbing to. I get ".... Out of 9500 for", nothing after "for" I climb to my cruise altitude which is 13000 in my flightplan. The same thing happens when I get close to my destination and approach tells to me descend. Approach just tells me "expect vectors for ILS 07", I acknowledge and then I get "...descend and maintain". I acknowledge and the pilot says "Out of 13000 for". I don't get an altitude. Is there something I'm doing wrong or is just not handled because the airports are using multicom?

Due to a limitation in PF2000 you need a minimum of 3 waypoints in a flight plan, I personally make sure I have at least 4, these waypoints must also be about 10 miles apart, this is probably what is causing your problems. I believe I'm correct in thinking that this is mentioned in the PFE manual somewhere.

It really looks like a Flight Plan issue... Andy would be right...more waypoints...Also be sure you have set your altitudes for the waypoints..and enter a cruise altitude...

Adding more waypoints fixed it. I now have 4 waypoints and I get altitude call outs. Thanks for the help!
