Hi,

I have build new PC with Win7 64bit OS and I am not able to install PFE deluxe properly. I still have error message at the end of instalation about missing MSVCP71.dll. I have read posts here about this problem, I have tried to copy .dll to all possible directories, I have install original Microsoft Visual C+++ redistributalbel 2005 nad 2008, but still the same problem. Can anybody help me, how to solve this problem? I need PFE !!!
Thanks

Dave is still away at the moment so I will try and suggest some things for you to try until his return.

Please make sure that UAC in Windows is disabled and that any Anti-virus software you may have is also disabled when you install PFE.

Hi Jiri,

Sorry I'm not sure what else to suggest at the moment, hopefully it wont be too long now before Dave returns or maybe one of the other beta testers may be able to help you.

Hi,

I have had a similar problem with the "missing" msvcr71.dll and it's easy to fix.

You can freely download the MSVCP71.dll, just google it.

Once you have it, place it in the C:\windows\sysWOW64 folder.

Re-install PFE and all will be well.

Thanks

Stuart

Hi Stuart,

I did it, but I got still the same message at the end of installation. I have tried to register .dll file, but I am not able, maybe I do something wrong.

The only other thing I can think of is that you are not installing it as administrator?

Hi,
I am running installätion as administrator.
Do I need to register .dll file before? When I try to register msvcr71.dll via CMD.exe, it gives me error message.

Thanks

Jiri

Right click on all programs that you wish to use with the sim including the sim itself and make sure they are all running either with admin rights or without, you can't mix some with and some without, they must all be the same.
