Hello everybody,

after updating - among other things - PF3 to version 3.17.0, I can't hear, or there are no, ATC transmissions.

The PF3 update didn't go smoothly (PF3 crashed after the update process), and I had to un- and re-install PF3. For compatibility, I also updated MCE.

To test the updates I loaded up my last successful flight, directly from the saved scenario (MJC Dash 8, ENBR - EKVG). But I couldn't hear, or there were no, ATC transmissions. I did verify that PF3 could output sound by switching voices in the main settings ("Radar service terminated, squawk 1200"). Once I managed to get ATC messages by switching to the default Mooney, but that didn't work a second time. It SEEMS PF3 can't read the frequency, even though in the PF3 GUI, the lights are flashing. The PF3 web server doesn't show the dialed-in frequency.

There are a few things I am going to test going forward: a) load the scenario with the default Mooney, and b) start MCE after everything is set up and connected. But if someone could have a look a the attached log files for obvious errors...? For comparison I have also included the logs from the last successful flight (Oct 2nd). Thanks!

Kind regards, Dimitrios

Did you install the DirectX runtimes like I suggested in my email to you a couple of days ago?

Have you tried running the PF3_Register program from your main PF3 folder. Just right-click on the file and select 'Run as Administrator'. Wait 20 seconds then try PF3 again.

If you then still have a problem please run the PF3 Validation from Options #2 and attach the log

Hi Dave,

thanks for your reply.

@ DX: Yes, I re-installed those. I can do it again.

@ PF3_Register program: No, but I will try it.

@ PF3 Validation: I let that run a number of times, every time everything was 100 % okay. I will do it again and upload the log.

So, I did all three things, and now I am going to test the scenario that wasn't working yesterday. I've attached the validator log file.

Hi again,

sorry for the late answer, but life happened.

Anyway, it seems to work now. As I tried all three things at once, I can't say for sure which helped, but I'm betting on the PF3 register program, because I didn't try that before. So, thanks for your help!
