Hello,

I seem to have lost my installer in the middle or an OS clean install. How can I receive a new copy?

Thanks

Thank you for the email!

I've run into a problem though. When I launch the installer it tells me that Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 must be installed and it was not detected. When I run the .NET installer (version 4.8) however it tells me that it or a newer version is already installed. It seems the PF3 installer can't find the .NET installation.

What do I do in this case?

You need to explicitly install the .Net 3.5 Framework runtime - please use the following link to download the installer and then run it:

https://dotnet.microsoft.com/en-us/down ... -installer

Cheers,
Martin

Can I update to the newer version after installing 3.5 and PF3 or do I need to stick to 3.5?

.Net Framework 3.5 is the runtime required for PF3 to work and the link is for the SP1 update, the latest version of 3.5.
You can install other versions of the .Net runtime libraries, but none will substitute for version 3.5 - they support different functionality.
To verify what versions you have installed on your system you can run the following command in a 'CMD' window:

reg query "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\NET Framework Setup\NDP"

Here is what my laptop shows me:

Hope this helps,
Martin

Alternatively, in addition to Martin's post, if you're not comfortable using the CMD window, just use Windows Explorer and navigate to C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework or C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework64

Here's mine...
